Leading Sheep

I don’t know a lot about sheep… but I do know this:

You can’t lead them from the back.

You can’t just point and tell a sheep where you want them to go.

They’ll usually just wander toward the next shiny thing.

Sheep have to be led from the front, walked with, guided, and shown the way.

And honestly, discipling our children is a lot like that.

We all want our kids to be strong in their faith.

We want them to pray.

We want them to read the Word.

We want them to love Jesus and have a heart for the lost.

But if we’re not leading them, they’ll drift.

Not because they’re bad… but because they’re human.

Kids don’t just follow instructions they follow examples.

If we want them to walk with God,

they need to see us walking with Him first.
